Energy Compliance - Title 24

What is Title 24?                      
Title 24 refers to the California Energy Code implemented in 1978 to reduce energy consumption, Title 24, Part 6 of the California Building Code, requiring Title 24 compliance reports for all new homes, home additions, alterations to existing homes, and HVAC replacement to ensure your residential project complies with California energy standards.
What is the cost? The cost for running calculations starts at $400 for typical projects then increases as p[roject increases in size, floors and design.
What is Next?
Before filling out your request for be sure you have the following items ready.
  1. Your Plans need to be in pdf format.  
  2. Please provide pdfs of floor plans, elevations, cross sections and roof plan.
  3. Plans need to include orientation, all dimensions and window and door schedules.  
  4. Include information for the water heating system and air-conditioning/heating system.  
  5. Be sure to note wether the project is gas, propane or all electric.
  6. In the case of an addition/alteration/remodel please include the year existing home was constructed; existing window and door sizes and type; the year, make and model information for existing HVAC system;  and the  R values of any existing attic and wall insulation.
Once you’ve prepared your PDFs:
  1. Fill out the Request Form with your PDF file as described. 
  2. When we receive your completed Form you will receive an email with our quote, a Project Form to fill out, and another to make payment online. 
  3. Once payment is received your Energy Compliance report will be completed in approximately 1-5 days.
  4. If additional information is needed we will contact you by phone or email.
